We are currently seeking individuals for the following openings listed below:
Machine Operator Position Summary:
To remove product from conveyor or machine, inspect to customer
specifications and hand pack into prescribed carton.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Visually inspects parts (according to the sample board), trims parts when necessary
· Physically attach additional components to part, using hands and/or screw guns, etc.
· Packs correct number of parts into prescribed carton
· Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies; responsible for cleanliness of work station, machine appearance, floor surrounding the work station
· Sets aside parts that do not meet specifications
· Regrinds or disposes of scrap
· Reports any equipment malfunction and/or quality problem to team coordinator
· Accurately prepares production reports and forwards to the production desk at or before the end of the shift
· Places identification label on bin or carton and stacks on according to customer
· Reports any accidents, incidents, or hazardous situations to the Process Coordinator immediately
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· May drive tow motor to load/unload parts and/or materials
· Keep team coordinator or team leader apprised of material or tooling needs
· May help conduct periodic inventory
· May train new press operators
· 5s Principles must be a priority
· Any other duties as assigned by Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires ability to stand for 8 hour shift
· Requires ability to bend, stoop, or kneel frequently
· Requires ability to work in a noisy industrial environment
· Requires mental alertness to procedures/changes and to call for assistance when needed
· Ability to keep up with moderate-speed conveyor line
· Manual dexterity required
· Satisfactory work records, including attendance
· Ability to lift 12 to 35 lbs
· Willingness to work overtime when necessary
· Satisfactory work record, including attendance
· Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends when needed
· High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others
